SELF-GUIDED PRACTICE

How to practice

  1. Choose a safe, quiet path where you can walk slowly without needing to avoid obstacles.
  2. Stand still first and feel both feet, posture, balance, and the intention to begin.
  3. Walk slower than usual, noticing lifting, moving, placing, and shifting weight.
  4. Feel the heel, sole, ball of the foot, and toes as each foot meets the ground.
  5. Keep the eyes open with a soft gaze ahead so you remain oriented and safe.
  6. When the mind moves to the destination or next task, return to the physical sensations of the next step.
  7. At the end of the path, pause, feel the whole body standing, turn carefully, and continue.
  8. Finish by standing still for a few breaths and noticing the effect of movement on the body.

Stay comfortable. You can stop at any time or return to your natural breath.
