SELF-GUIDED PRACTICE
How to practice
- Sit, stand, or lie comfortably with the spine supported or naturally upright.
- Let the breath breathe itself; do not deepen, slow, or improve it on purpose.
- Choose one clear place to feel breathing, such as the nostrils, chest, ribs, or belly.
- Feel one inhale from beginning to end, then one exhale from beginning to end.
- Notice pauses, texture, temperature, and movement only if they are naturally obvious.
- When attention wanders, acknowledge it briefly and return to the next available breath.
- If breath focus feels uncomfortable, open the eyes and shift to sounds or feet on the floor.
- Close by taking one ordinary breath without needing it to be calm or special.
Stay comfortable. You can stop at any time or return to your natural breath.
