SELF-GUIDED PRACTICE
How to practice
- Sit upright enough to stay awake, with the body relaxed but not collapsed.
- Let the breath, sounds, sensations, and thoughts come and go without selecting a main object.
- Notice any urge to fix posture, control attention, improve the breath, or evaluate the session.
- When effort appears, soften the extra managing while keeping clear wakefulness.
- Rest as the knowing of experience rather than trying to create a special state.
- If you become dull or sleepy, open the eyes, straighten the posture, or take a fuller breath.
- If you become scattered, use one anchor briefly and then relax back into openness.
- End by recognizing that awareness was present through both calm and distraction.
Stay comfortable. You can stop at any time or return to your natural breath.
